If you've been on facebook or instagram recently, you may have heard of the Bikini Body Guide created by personal trainer Kayla Itsines.  Most notably, she encourages all of her participants to take progress pictures, and, from seeing the amazing results, so many women have brought attention to the up and coming program.  Over ten million people have joined her movement not just for the workout program, but for the healthy lifestyle.

How it works// Kayla recommends this program for people who are at an intermediate level.  She even created a Pre-Training program for beginners, and the best part: all of her workouts require little to no equipment.  The first round of the Bikini Body Guide is 12 weeks long, with alternating workouts focusing on legs, arms plus abs, and a full body routine every week.  It consists of 2 circuits for each workout, and each circuit is seven minutes long-- that means each workout is only 28 minutes.  As a gradual way to increase fitness level and see results, in the first half you do 2-3 sessions of LISS (low intensity steady state) a week.  In the second half, it's HIIT (high intensity interval training) to keep seeing improvements.  After exploring instagram, there are so many other women around the world posting pictures of their meals, videos of workouts, and encouraging each other.  It's really amazing to see everyone working together, while many have gone through the first round multiple times, and some are on BBG 2.0 for the next 12 week program which is more challenging and has more content.

The Program// it costs about $120 for the 12 week program, and yes, that is especially expensive for some college students.  It comes with a nutrition help guide, schedule for each workout, how to take progress pictures, and a step by step instruction on how to do each workout.  Not only are you purchasing the guides, but also a community where thousands of other women are encouraging each other on social media as well as having group meetups.  Luckily, there is a seven day free trial to decide if you want to purchase everything or not!  For more information, visit kaylaistines.com.
