Three Supercharged Smoothie Recipes
Are you looking for something tasty and filling for breakfast? Maybe something to recharge your body after an intense workout, or, just a healthy summer treat? Here are three smoothie recipes perfect for any time; at home or on the go.
All you will need is the ingredients called for, a blender, and a cute cup or two.
Super Spinach Smoothie//
What to grab at the grocery:
About 2 cups frozen spinach broken into pieces (using frozen makes it frothier than fresh spinach does, plus you won’t need any ice!)
1 cup apple juice
Add all ingredients and blend it up! Spinach makes stronger and more efficient muscles – so not only are you giving yourself a treat, but your muscles will thank you too. Enjoy.
Sunny Citrus Smoothie// need some more energy without guzzling any caffeine? This is totally the smoothie for you!
Toss this in your cart:
1 orange, peeled and chopped, seeds removed
1 lemon, peeled and chopped, seeds removed
4 spinach leaves
2 carrots, peeled and chopped (or grated – whatever strikes your fancy)
1 1/2 cups almond milk
1 peach, peeled and chopped
Blend it together and enjoy boosting both your immune system and energy levels!
Superpower Smoothie// kale is packed with nutrients, so after drinking this one, you could very easily become superwoman.
What you will need:
1 1/2 cups skim milk
2 cups kale stems and leaves (this is where the superpowers come in)
1 kiwi fruit, peeled
1 Tbsp smooth unsalted peanut butter
1 tsp agave nectar, honey, or maple syrup (for natural sweetness!)
Blend it right up and put on a cape or something.
