The Best in Fall Beauty
Fall season has arrived which means it’s time to whip out the boots, scarves, knit sweaters, and pumpkin spice lattes. It’s also the perfect time to start experimenting with warm-toned makeup hues like deep red, orange, yellow, and brown. There’s something about the fall season and rich, deep colors that resemble a feeling of warmth and coziness, who wouldn’t want that? The fall season also, unfortunately comes with its downsides, such as causing dry, flakey skin. The drop in temperature makes for skin’s natural moisture to dry up, which means having a foolproof skin routine down is a MUST this season. Read on to find out the best in makeup and skincare in this season’s beauty lineup.
Stunna Lip Paint – Fenty Beauty by Rihanna //
The widely loved Fenty Beauty makeup line by Rihanna (my #WCW every day) came out with new shades of Stunna Lip Paints late this September. The original SLP line held only one shade, a universal red, “Uncensored.” Now, along to join the perfect shade of red are four other shades: “Unveil” – chocolate brown, “Uncuffed” – rosy mauve, “Unbutton” – peachy nude, and “Uninvited” – smooth black. The four new shades are not only gorgeous on all different beautiful skin colors, but they’re also perfect for the fall season, showcasing deeper, warm colors.
“Ring the Alarm” Eyeshadow Palette – Morphe x Jaclyn Hill //
The perfect fall palette (and inexpensive), with shades from deep plum, chestnut, bronze, and ochre, etc. These colors scream “fall season!” The palette includes 10 different shades, ranging from shimmery to matte. Creating flawless cut creases and shading/highlighting your lids will be easy with this one-stop shop of shades to choose from.
“Sweet as Cocoa” Blush – MAC Cosmetics //
The name of the shade is exactly what you would think of looking at this gorgeous chocolatey-brown blush. The great thing about this shade is it can double up as either a soft contour too, depending on how much you want to put on.
Brow Contour Pro – Benefit Cosmetics //
Say goodbye to your brow pencils and dipbrows this season. Benefit Cosmetics came out with a new Brow Contour Pro, a four-in-one brow pencil that makes it easy to define, contour, and highlight your brows with one tool! Not only does this make shaping brows faster and easier, you don’t have to worry about buying loads of other products for the perfect brow, it’s got it all in one.
Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara – L’Oréal //
Looking for a new mascara that won’t disappoint? Then, look no further. Lash Paradise does exactly what it says it will. This *holy grail* of a mascara is the only thing you’ll need this season (and all year!) for voluminous, length-defying lashes.
Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum – First Aid Beauty //
Every skincare routine needs to adopt a serum before applying any kind of moisturizer. Why? Serums are essential to providing that additional boost skin needs to repair itself due to the environment, makeup, and so many other factors. This “moisture-locking agent” boosts hydration while nurturing beneath the surface as the drop in temperature this season begins to dry out the skin.
Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly – Clinique //
Don’t forget to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! This step is vital to your skincare routine as well as provides a smooth base before applying makeup. This hydrating jelly is an extremely lightweight, oil-free, and water-based moisturizer that repairs the skin and protects it from pollution from the environment. Perfect for all skin types, from normal, oily, combination, and sensitive.
Rosebud Salve – Rosebud Perfume Co. //
This isn’t exactly new, but I felt it was essential to include this season anyway. It’s a must-have in every guy or gal’s bag/back pocket. This lip balm also does more than hydrate chapped lips, it can also heal and soothe minor burns as well as relieve dryness on knees or elbows. Why wouldn’t you want this multipurpose balm around?
