Why It's Completely Fine to Have No Idea About Your Future

It is no question that we live in a society that frowns upon falling behind or not giving your best effort 100% of the time. This strive for success has brought our world to unimaginable heights but I find that many people suddenly feel as though they are living in a world where worth derives from success. We live in a day in age where we are constantly looking forward instead of enjoying the little milestones conquered on a daily basis. Happiness can come in many forms, but no amount of money, material goods, or even people can satisfy an individual who is not living their life for themselves. The bottom line is that having absolutely no idea about what direction you are headed is completely fine, and in so many cases, healthy. Being stressed about what the future has in store for you is a huge indicator that you truly care and want to succeed.

The most important thing to understand though, is that happiness and success can come in all different shapes and sizes. Whether it is a blatant or subtle sign from the universe, everything will eventually turn out fine. This peace of mind is and never will be easy to achieve, but never forget that you have made it this far in life. What you are called to do may not seem conventional, but if everything in life was easy or safe, then life would be boring in ways we couldn’t even imagine. Each and every person has moved mountains, whether it’s small or major in their eyes. Because of this, I want you to take a moment and simply appreciate where you are in life and tell yourself how proud you are of yourself. God has never made something He is not proud of, and building your life according to what's best for you, is ultimately one of the most important things you will have to achieve. I believe it is time that we applaud the people around us while also appreciating where we are in life at this very moment in time. I guarantee that you will find that lifting others up will not only be fulfilling, but allow you to make deeper connections with the people you love.

I personally struggle with finding the tricky balance between self-love and arrogance, but what is so wrong with simply being open to anything life has to throw at you? On another note, I believe it is important to understand that although, success can come in many forms, never stop striving to achieve your goals. The community around you simply wants you to find happiness, but the only way to reach actualization is to be open to the changes life throws at you. Being lost in life is a temporary thing that will one day flourish into something truly amazing, no matter how unconventional. Basing your life upon other people's standards can be exhausting, but the first step to being ok with being lost is understanding that everyone's path will be unique. Believe it or not, every single person is lost in one way or another, so living life the way you are meant to is imperative. Whether you are looking towards the future or dwelling in the past, it's so important that we appreciate the present considering the present will slip away in an instant. Being lost in life may seem daunting, but it's one of the necessary steps to a greater plan.
